Reporting in vFire Core
The Reporting module in vFire Core enables you to produce reports, view generated reports and design report templates.
Reporting is an integral component of vFire, and it offers a great deal of functionality and flexibility. A vast collection of predefined reports enable you to immediately retrieve information about the performance, statistics and trends related to the system and your service desk. In addition, the in-built report designer can be used to modify the standard reports or create completely new reports to best meet business requirements.
You can generate automated periodic reports for the effective streamlining of your reporting processes, and publish any reports that you generate on vFire Self Service. This provides the opportunity to distribute statistics, trend and performance data to your users.
You can also view reports for all entities in vFire Core including calls, requests, tasks, CMDB items, and agreements. The report for an entity is usually displayed in a predefined format that includes the details specified on the Details window and any information about linked entities specified via the explorer options.
You can:
- Run pre-defined reports, selecting values for the different criteria. You can then print these reports, or email them to selected recipients
- Schedule reports to run at a particular time or frequency
- View, print and save reports that have been generated
- Modify reports, adding fields and charts and assigning properties
- Create reports, either completely from scratch or based on existing reports
- Manage your report folders, creating and renaming them as necessary
Reports can display a maximum of 300,000 rows; however, this limit can be changed. Contact your account manager for more information.
